My career began in early childhood education where I observed students exhibiting a range of social-emotional and other developmental issues. This inspired me to pursue a master’s degree in School Psychology. Recognizing the extensive social and systemic issues impacting mental health, I transitioned to Social Work in 2023. My first internship focused on developing programs and engaging in policy and advocacy work to address mental health disparities for LGBTQ+ individuals. My dedication to advocacy and policy work for the LGBTQ+ community, as well as anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices, is a central aspect of my professional journey. By using an intersectional lens, I strive to understand and value the complex, multifaceted identities and experiences of the individuals I work with.
My commitment to this work is deeply rooted in the belief that understanding the environments in which clients live is essential for providing holistic, compassionate, and culturally-responsive mental health services. My core values of curiosity, compassion, and connection guide me in my work, as I strive to make a positive impact on the lives of the children, teens and adults that I serve. I strive to help you reach your highest potential utilizing a strengths- and systems-based approach. There is immense power in connection – connecting with ourselves, with others, and with our community which catalyzes collaboration and healing to create a world of meaningful possibilities for all. Everyone is welcome here, and I hope you feel proud of yourself for making the first step towards your personal goals.
