I am a first-generation college student passionate about serving people in behavioral and integrated healthcare settings. My passion also lies in serving but not just limited to the minority population and youth/families as I am from the minority population myself. As a final year student in my Master of Social Work at MSU Denver, I hope to integrate my biology and ethnic studies background into in my practice.
I have had previous experience working with youth and families with at-home visits in behavioral therapy. My approach is to foster a safe and welcoming environment where they can build trust to freely express their needs, especially on the mental health/emotional side. I do my best to communicate with parents, caregivers, and others to provide positive spaces and understand the needs to be met. I believe therapy can guide one to an eye-opening experience and allow oneself to authentically strive to be their best version of themselves.
