About

Smiling woman with long hair outdoors in floral top and necklace.

Eleanor Crymes, MSW, SWC

With a professional background in human resources and extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families in after-school and residential treatment settings, I bring a deep understanding of the various environments and relationships that shape our lives. These experiences have enhanced my appreciation for how developmental, relational, and broader social and cultural factors influence emotional well-being, reinforcing my passion for working with individuals from early childhood through young adulthood. I particularly value supporting children and teens as they navigate growth, identity, relationships, emotions, and life transitions, while also partnering closely with caregivers to help them better understand and support their child’s unique needs.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, and trauma-informed, reflecting my commitment as an advocate for trauma-informed therapy. I focus on helping clients better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, and develop healthy coping strategies. In my practice, I incorporate play-based therapy techniques when working with children, and I am EMDR-trained, which enables me to assist clients in navigating overwhelming experiences and emotional challenges in a developmentally supportive manner. I believe each person is the expert of their own life, and I work from a strengths-based perspective to align our work with their goals, values, and unique sources of resilience. I am passionate about empowering people with tools for coping, creating safety, and fostering meaningful connections. I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where individuals and families feel encouraged to explore their experiences, strengthen relationships, and move toward healing and growth at their own pace.
