Hi, I'm Deanna and my pronouns are she/they. As a Black, Queer, non-binary counselor, I bring my lived experiences, empathy, and professional training to create a safe and welcoming space for you to explore your unique journey. I believe that sharing your story is a powerful act of liberation. Together, we can uncover the freedom that comes from acknowledging your story, while empowering you to grow and redefine the identities and roles you carry. My passion lies in helping individuals, particularly LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities, take up space unapologetically and embrace their fullest selves.
I have years of experience supporting youth and families across various settings, including residential treatment programs, public schools, in-home crisis support, and community-based services. My work spans diverse populations and challenges, from navigating identity and life transitions to addressing mental health struggles such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational dynamics. My focus is on providing affirming, culturally responsive care that meets you where you are. In our work together, I draw from evidence-based practices like DBT and CBT while centering your voice and story through Narrative and Person-Centered therapy. I aim to create a collaborative, compassionate, and affirming environment where you feel seen, heard, and empowered. Whether you're exploring your identity, managing emotional challenges, or striving for personal growth, my goal is to support you in finding clarity, building resilience, and stepping into your power.
