About

Amanda Rupp, MA Clinical Intern

I am a master’s-level clinical mental health intern who works with children and adults. I bring a unique perspective to this work, having transitioned into the mental health field after a previous career, guided by a desire to pursue more meaningful, relationship-centered work. This path, along with my life experience, allows me to connect with clients in a grounded, genuine, and compassionate way.

I use play-based therapy to support children in expressing themselves in ways that feel natural, safe, and developmentally appropriate. Through play, children can process emotions, build coping skills, and develop a stronger sense of self. I also understand the importance of supporting the whole family system and strive to help caregivers feel more confident in understanding and responding to their child’s needs.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and attuned. I focus on creating a space that feels safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental. With adults, I offer a supportive environment to explore life’s challenges, build insight, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.  I am deeply passionate about this work and committed to creating a compassionate, supportive space where individuals and families can grow, build resilience, and thrive.
