About

I am currently a graduate student at Metropolitan State University of Denver with a focus in Clinical Behavioral Health and an emphasis on Addictions Counseling. I enjoy working with individuals and groups to help them feel empowered in expressing their thoughts and emotions.  My goal is to lead with multicultural awareness to create a safe and supportive environment that allows individuals to grow towards their goals. 

While working in the hospitality industry for nearly a decade, in various leadership roles, I was able to work with people from different backgrounds and experiences.  Those experiences helped me to cultivate strong assessment and goal setting skills in order to take action quickly.  Mostly, I enjoyed connecting with my colleagues and supporting them with their personal challenges which launched me into my second career.  I have worked with adults and teens in various settings including group and individual therapy for  people with addictions and those in crisis situations.
